Body

Intended Audience: Students, Faculty, and Staff

Summary

The Laptop Checkout Kiosk program provides students with short-term access to university laptops for coursework, studying, and exams. Each kiosk contains 30 laptops that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Laptops can be checked out for up to 6 hours at a time, ensuring students have adequate time to complete tasks while also keeping devices circulating for others.

Problem

Students may not have immediate access to a personal laptop or may need a device for exams, assignments, or study sessions while on campus. Without a reliable option, students could experience delays in coursework and reduced academic productivity.

Solution

PVAMU’s Laptop Checkout Kiosks ensure equitable access to technology by offering laptops for temporary use. Students simply need their PVAMU Student ID or P# and credentials to check out and log in. This service supports academic success by making secure, configured laptops readily available.
