First Time Logging in (Incoming Students)

1. Instruct user to visit login.microsoftonline.com 

2. Enter PVAMU email address 

3. Click “Forgot my password” 

4. User will receive MFA code 

5. Password needs to be 12 characters long (Can’t include first or last name) 

   1. Use at least 12-16 characters. 

   2. Create a strong password that can’t be easily guessed or cracked. 

   3. Work or school account passwords require each of the following: 

   1. Lower Case Letters 

   2. Upper Case Letters 

   3. Numbers (0-9) 

   4. Symbols, including: ! @ # $ % ^ & * + = [ ] { } | \ : ‘ , . ? / ~ “ < > ( ) ; 

6. Once password has been set user can visit pvamu.edu/pvplace 

7. Scroll down and click “Login to PVPlace” 

8. The end user needs to enter only their username along with the password just created for their email (username@pvamu.edu) 

User name: username 

Password: same as email password
