Getting Started with WordPress at PVAMU

Intended Audience: Students, Faculty, and Staff

Summary

WordPress is used to maintain Prairie View A&M University’s website. Before requesting access to your departmental site, you must complete WordPress Training provided by the Web Services Department. Trainings are conducted monthly, but on-demand sessions can also be scheduled. Access requires approval from your department head or supervisor and submission of a signed WordPress Access Request Form.

Problem

Departments and staff often need to update websites but may lack the proper access or knowledge of university standards. Without formal training and approval, content could become inconsistent or misaligned with PVAMU’s visual identity.

Solution

WordPress is used to maintain Prairie View A&M University’s website. You must attend WordPress Training provided by Web Services Department before requesting access. Trainings are conducted monthly but we can also provided an on-demand training session. Please email us at webservices@pvamu.edu to schedule an appointment.

To gain access to WordPress, a department head / supervisor has to sign the WordPress Access Request. The form can be submitted via fax at (936) 261-9342 or by scanning it and sending via email to webservices@pvamu.edu
