Prairie View A&M University offers several phone service options to support faculty and staff. Standard phone lines are available at a monthly rate of $38, while voicemail and access to the corporate directory are provided at no additional cost. For mobile flexibility, hotspots are available at $37.99 per month.

Departments that require desk phones can choose from Cisco models, which include a one-time installation charge. The Cisco 8851 is priced at $332.00, the Cisco 8865 at $393.00, and the Cisco 8831 at $1009.00. These devices support features such as voicemail integration and can also be used with Cisco Webex for video collaboration and conference calls.

Steps to Request Service

1. Go to the PVAMU Helpdesk website.

2. Select Submit a Ticket.

3. Choose Phone Services as your request type.

4. Provide the following details in your request:

   • Department and contact information

   • Type of service needed (Phone line, Hotspot, Desk Phone, etc.)

   • Device model (if requesting a desk phone installation)

5. Submit the ticket. The Telecommunications Office will follow up with confirmation and next steps.
