Parchment

Prairie View A&M University has partnered with Parchment Send service to make transcripts available online. The new electronic version of your transcript can be sent directly to a recipient’s email address. Parchment is an academic management system that provides current and former students the ability to request, verify and share credentials in a secure setting. This is a simple way to request transcripts to be sent to other schools, potential employers and other entities.

Current students will be able to access transcript ordering site via PV Place. Former students and alumni will be able to access the transcript ordering site at Transcript Request (Former and Alumni) or the alumni link on the University’s homepage. To order, you will need the email of the recipient. After the order is placed, the recipient of the transcript will receive an email with instructions on how to retrieve the secured document. The electronic transcript will arrive as a PDF and is available for a maximum of three downloads or seven calendars days from the request date. After the date has passed, the download will expire and can no longer be retrieved.

For those who would still like to receive a paper version of their transcript, that option is still available. When ordering, you can select “Paper Transcript – Mailed” delivery method or if you are on campus visit the Office of the Registrar to complete a Transcript Request Form.

To have a person, other than yourself, retrieve your transcript in person, you must submit a signed letter to the Office of the Registrar stating that person’s full name and your hand signature. If the requested information is missing, the Office of the Registrar cannot release the transcript. Letters can be sent via fax machine at (936) 261-1051, email registrar@pvamu.edu or by mail at Office of the Registrar, P.O. Box 519; Mail Stop 1002, Prairie View, Texas 77446.
