This guide explains the standard operating procedures (SOP) for managing changes to mission-critical systems, Banner systems, and PVAMU’s network. It outlines approval requirements, risk levels, emergency changes, and general processes to ensure consistency, accountability, and compliance.
Messages that Mimecast identifies as clear, undeniable spam (like those attempting to maliciously spoof a PVAMU email address or that contain known, malicious links) will drop before delivery. Solicitations, unwanted listserves, and other types of content are held by Mimecast, and users receive an email every day at 8 am, 12 pm and 4 pm with options to release emails they don’t consider spam.
Instructions on how to setup multi-factor authentication on your mobile devices
PVAMU uses Microsoft Authenticator as its main Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) tool to protect accounts from phishing and credential theft. DUO Security is considered legacy and may still appear in some TAMUS systems, but Microsoft Authenticator is now the recommended method for most PVAMU services.
